How to wake up feeling fresh!! (not groggy..)

Dehydration occurs when you lose more fluid than you take in. If you do not have enough fluid to carry out the normal function means you are dehydrated. Dehydration is what causes you to feel groggy in the morning.

Hydrate before going to bed:

If you feel lazy and sluggish for no special reason when you wake up in the morning and you have not slept properly in the night, and you are the patient of insomnia means you are dehydrated. Insomnia may occur due to work stress, depression or dehydration. When you go to bed with mild dehydration, you may not be able to sleep because of dehydration and it even causes snoring. If you can't follow the strict schedule of drinking water then you must try to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day, so that you can sleep like a baby when the time comes.

Don't take bed-coffee:

You must try not to take coffee after waking up. You should try to wait for 2 to 3 hours to take coffee, if possible. As coffee reduces the water so it will become dangerous to take it instantly after waking up. As you're already dehydrated from 8 hours you should opt for water instead of coffee, especially when you are at the gym. Wait to take coffee until you have done your workout.

Drinking water with the meal:

Drinking water with meals helps your body indigestion, it helps you body to liquefy food and easily grind it to absorb the nutrients. It also prevents constipation by lubricating your stomach. It also stops you to eat more at night. And your stomach will feel light and you'll have a good sleep.

Eat food with high water content:

If you don't like to drink a lot of water then you may manage your water level by alternating it with leafy green vegetables and citrus, juicy fruits. Many vegetables and fruits have high levels of water including watermelon, oranges, cucumbers, spinach and strawberries e.t.c. These fruits and vegetables are also full of nutrients, carbohydrates and vitamins.

Avoid caffeine:

You should avoid caffeine for a period of six hours before going to bed. If you are feeling sleepy and dizzy during day time and want to have coffee at 3pm or 4pm you should resist yourself to drink it because it can cause insomnia or you should opt for the decaffeinated coffee.

Exercise right before bedtime:

Some people remain comfortable with exercise too close to bedtime but most of the people find themselves dehydrated. You should exercise 3 to 4 hours before bedtime so that you may not feel dehydrated. And also drink a lot of water after a workout.

One glass before bed:

We all should drink a glass of water right before going to bed. Drinking a glass of water will help you to avoid uncomfortable leg cramps and thirst.
